PRESS RELEASE: THE NBA’S LEGAL PROFESSION REGULATION REVIEW COMMITTEE (LPRRC) TOWN HALL MEETINGS
The ’s Legal Profession Regulation Review Committee (LPRRC) is set to have the second edition of its Town Hall Meeting on Thursday the 30th of March, 2017 at Hamdala Hotel, Uguwan Rimi, Kaduna State at 1pm. The third town hall meeting will hold on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Transcorp Hotel, in Calabar, Cross River State.
The town hall meeting shall examine problems confronting the Profession, the roles of the Legal Regulation Architecture and the challenges facing the legal structure in general.
Participants are drawn from Civil Society organizations, branches of The , the Media, the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and other critical stakeholders.
Mrs. Funke Adekoya SAN and Chairperson of the LPRRC Sub-committee, on “Current state of the Legal Profession in Nigeria,” and Professor Ernest Ojukwu SAN and Chairman, LPRRC Sub-committee on the “Future State of the Legal Profession in Nigeria,” will address the participants while Chief Anthony Idigbe SAN and Chairman LPRRC, will moderate the interactive sessions during both Town Hall meetings.
In addition, the forum will receive feedback as well as suggestions and strategies for repositioning the Legal Profession for greater efficiency and effectiveness within the Nigerian polity as well as rendering it more competitive in the Global market place.
The president of the , Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud SAN enjoins all our members to attend the town hall meetings and participate actively in the discussions.
